In this paper, the iron and steel chip samples are classified, and according to the strength and hardness of various metal chip samples, the samples are prepared into regular block samples. Among them, the samples with better plasticity and toughness adopted the UHPS type ultra-high pressure system, while the samples with high strength and brittleness and not suitable for the cold pressing method adopted the VGIRMG-01 Automatic vacuum inert gas shielded remelting machine. The prepared samples were quantitatively analyzed by selecting the appropriate calibration curve and using the sample control method. The relative standard deviation (RSD,n=10) of the measured data of 10 different parts of the sample was all less than 2%, which met the level A requirements of the standard JJG768-2005. Validation is performed with a primary or secondary reference material/sample and the difference between the measured value and the identified value is within the uncertainty range specified by the reference material.
